Brief of Incident

On 2nd Nov’2017 at about 0800 hrs, patrolling party consisting of 01 Officer, 03 SOs and 10 ORs including Constable Shri Tapan Mondal of BOP Manguchak of 173 Bn went ahead of the border fence to carry out Zero Line Patrolling on IB between BP No. 135 and 136.  At about 0930 hrs, without any provocation Pak troops of Pak Post Peer Bunker fired upon patrolling party by UMG in which Constable Shri Tapan Mondal got a bullet injuries on his right shoulder.  He was immediately evacuated to 166 MH, Army Hospital Satwari where he succumbed to his injuries at 1100 hrs.
